Wakeful Openness

For the first time in Europe, the yogi Phakchok Rinpoche offers a rare and complete transmission: the empowerment and meditation instructions from the treasury of Buddha Padmasambhava’s heart.

Each summer over three years, Rinpoche will bestow empowerments for the entire mandala, the three kayas and the twelve manifestations of Padmasambhava, together with essential guidance from Tukdrub Barchey Kunsel, which focuses on removing obstacles to realizing our true nature of mind.

This is an extraordinary opportunity for those who wish to connect deeply with an authentic lineage. Participants receive the full support and authorization to train in liberating methods that lead directly to enlightenment.

Rinpoche begins by teaching The Essence of Wakeful Openness, a practice text that offers step-by-step guidance along the tantric path.

In addition, Rinpoche will open the treasury of the Secret Mother Tantra and confer the empowerment of the Red Avalokiteshvara. Phakchok Rinpoche received this lineage from Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche, Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche and his father, Chokling Rinpoche.

The empowerments of Barchey Kunsel include:

• Amitayus, the Buddha of infinite life and awareness
• Avalokiteshvara, the Buddha of compassion
• Padmasambhava, the Lotus-Born and guru of our time
• Gyalwey Dungdzin, the liberated yogi
• Mawey Senge, a swift path to deep understanding and eloquence

• Dukyi Shechen, cutting through misguided attitudes and aims

Arrival and departure
You can arrive from the morning of the 20th. The teachings will begin in the evening, around 7pm on the 20th.
The teachings conclude in the afternoon on the 24th.

Accommodation
The following fees include chosen accommodation for four nights, from August 20th to 24th, as well as three daily vegan meals at Gomde.

• Single Room: 650 euro
• Double Room: 450 euro
• Dormitory: 350 euro
• Camping in your own tent or caravan: 300 euro
• Staying outside Gomde: 300 euro

Donations
The teachings are offered as a dharma gift and donation can be given at the end of the retreat. Please bring cash for donations, since Gomde only offers limited options to withdraw cash.
